The government's panel of experts has recommended the cancellation of the agreement with the main contractor, TransTrai, on the Polavaram project. It has been suggested that the subcontractors will no longer have the option of terminating the contract with the main contractor, so all tenders should be called for new.

పోలవరం ప్రాజెక్టుకు సంబంధించి గత మూడు రోజులుగా చర్చ జరుగుతూనే ఉందని, సభలో ప్రతి రోజూ జలవనరుల మంత్రి ఈ అంశంపై చర్చిస్తూనే ఉన్నారని ఏపీ ముఖ్యమంత్రి జగన్ అన్నారు. గత ప్రభుత్వ హయాంలో పోలవరం ప్రాజెక్టు అంతా కుంభకోణాల మయమైందని ఆరోపించారు. శాసనసభలో ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ.. ఈ ప్రాజెక్టుపై ప్రత్యేక కమిటీ అధ్యయనం చేస్తోందని చెప్పారు. ఇటీవలే పోలవరం ప్రాజెక్టును పరిశీలించి వచ్చానని, నాలుగు నెలలుగా పూర్తిగా పనులు ఆగిన పరిస్థితి ఏర్పడిందని చెప్పారు. నవంబర్‌ నాటికి ప్రారంభించి 2021 జూన్‌ నాటికి నీళ్లు ఇవ్వాలన్న లక్ష్యంతో ఉన్నామన్నారు.
